Carol is a highly respected lawyer with extensive law enforcement experience as a Yosemite National Park Federal Ranger.

She spent many wonderful times as a child in Yosemite with her family and chose to pursue a career there as a young adult.

She spent the next two decades as a federal law enforcement officer in Yosemite National Park.  Her responsibilities included search and rescue, resource management, wildland firefighting and serving as a park medic.

During her time serving as a Yosemite Ranger time, Carol also completed her BS degree in Agriculture Business from California State University, Fresno where she graduated Cum Laude.

As her time in law enforcement was winding down, Carol's passion for justice took her next to San Joaquin College of Law in Fresno where she received her Juris Doctorate and started her new career as a lawyer in 1993 after leaving the Park Service.

Carol regularly appears in Madera, Fresno and Mariposa County courts as well as the Yosemite National Park magistrate.

Much of Carol's legal work has been in federal court.  She has been an active member of the Federal Bar Association and served as San Joaquin Chapter president in 2006-2007  and has continued to serve as an active board member.   She also serves as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Lawyer Representative where her second term will end in 2018.   Carol was on the Fresno County Women Lawyer's Association Board of Directors from 1994-2000, as well as many other activities detailed in her resume.

Outside of work, you'll find Carol busy as a Board member of the Madera County Arts Council as well as the San Joaquin River Parkway Board of Directors.  She is passionate about children and for the past five years has chaired Law Day for eighth grade students in Yosemite National Park.

An avid snow skier, backpacker and runner, she has completed more than 30 marathons.
